In response to the growing problem of water pollution, the AGH STARS team is working on an innovative geoportal that enables real-time monitoring of water quality. By utilizing data from Sentinel-2 satellites and modern cloud processing technologies, we can track key indicators such as chlorophyll concentration, turbidity, and harmful algal blooms.
Our goal is to create a system accessible to everyone – from researchers to local communities – to collaboratively protect the environment and promote sustainable water resource management.
